The common areas which abut or adjoin the Big Blue River are not to be used as access points to swim, wade, canoe, raft, ice skate, or ice fish in or on the Big Blue River. However, fishing from a designated ELS common area when the river is not frozen is permitted to ELS residents and their guests only and is solely at their own risk.
The Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 school district serves the Eagles Landing Subdivision. Children grades K-6 currently attend Oliver Brown Elementary School (built in 2021; 1.7 miles). Grades 6-8 attend Eisenhower Middle School (6.4 miles). Students in 9th-12th grade attend Manhattan High School (6.4 miles).
There are also several accredited private schools in the area. Flint Hills Christian School is located less than a half mile from Eagles Landing, well within walking distance. They offer Pre-K through 12th grade. Manhattan Catholic Schools (4.9 miles) serve Pre-K thru 8th Grade.
