Eagles Landing (View Map) is located in unincorporated Pottawatomie County, just 2 miles from Manhattan, Kansas. 

​​Manhattan, Kansas is a college community, home to Kansas State University, complemented by nearby Fort Riley, and tucked into the gorgeous Flint Hills region.  Manhattan is the county seat of Riley County, and with a population of more than 50,000 serves as a regional hub for shopping, health care, education, entertainment and communication. To the west sits Fort Riley, home of the legendary 1st Infantry Division, the “Big Red One.”

Eagles Landing South is a covenant-protected community with 137 homes, governed by Eagles Landing South Homeowners Association (HOA).  The Eagles Landing subdivision as a whole consists of 189 lots, with Eagles Landing North having 52 homes.  You are at the site for Eagles Landing South HOA, which is for lots 4-22, 32-102, and 123-159.  If your lot is not listed, please contact the Eagles Landing North HOA. ​

We are a welcoming and beautiful neighborhood bordered by the Big Blue River and Elbo Creek, with established trees, bushes, and aesthetically-pleasing landscaping details.  Having been established in 2001, several homes are already free from special tax assessments and the rest will end by 2025.  

Common areas, including recreational areas, are owned and managed by Eagles Landing South HOA and restricted to the use by its residents, tenants, and their guests. 

Residing in Eagles Landing South includes several amenities to enhance residential living.
  • Security lighting at entrance and along streets
  • Playground area, with climbing structure, sand pit, swings, and spring-mounted riding structures
  • Full basketball court, with adjustable goals
  • 6’ safety fence separating playground and basketball court from Elbo Creek ravine
  • Open recreational areas for playing football, soccer, baseball, etc.
  • Picnic shelter, with picnic tables, grills, lighting, electricity, water, and trash service
  • Park benches
  • Walking trail, with views of the Big Blue River
  • Dog waste stations throughout neighborhood
  • Plans for future development of recreation areas
  • Organized community events, such as garage/yard sales and neighborhood picnics

The common areas which abut or adjoin the Big Blue River are not to be used as access points to swim, wade, canoe, raft, ice skate, or ice fish in or on the Big Blue River.  However, fishing from a designated ELS common area when the river is not frozen is permitted to ELS residents and their guests only and is solely at their own risk. 

​The Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 school district serves the Eagles Landing Subdivision.  Children grades K-6 currently attend Oliver Brown Elementary School (built in 2021; 1.7 miles). Grades 6-8 attend Eisenhower Middle School (6.4 miles).  Students in 9th grade attend Manhattan High School East Campus (4.7 miles), while grades 10-12 are at the West campus (6.4 miles).

There are also several accredited private schools in the area.  Flint Hills Christian School is located less than a half mile from Eagles Landing, well within walking distance.  They offer Pre-K through 12th grade.  Manhattan Catholic Schools (4.9 miles) serve Pre-K thru 8th Grade.
